Good mixed bag! Q SM/LM

Hit the Q with a friend from way down south. Had never been and she gave him a good show. We started out on LM in the AM and when that bite died around 11. We moved out into 20 ft of water and hit some great SM until about 2PM. He lost a whale of a SM that just shook free. It did jump or attemt to but was just to fat. Would have love to seen him get her in the boat! The biggest LM came on a SPRO little John in spook nasty. The rest on green pumkin Arkie spider grubs on jig heads. Here they are
We boated well into the double digits as far as numbers go. The SM in the afternoon were coming up from 20 ft down and grabing the grubs. So cool to see it come up and dart away with your offering in her mouth!

Northshore bass stage?

Hey dudes, guess who's BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK

Just got home from my 4th year of college to find my boat winterized and supposedly repaired. Last Summer I found out I had a blown cylinder and had to have the piston replaced and everything, forcing me to leave my baby at home while I went off to academia.

Looking to hit the water and see if she runs, was wondering if anyone around the Northshore area knows the recent water temps or whether the bass are still prespawn for the most part. Haven't been home this early in a few years. Possibly fishing Shitbacco in Essex this weekend.

Better news: Thinking about getting a GoPro for my birthday so I can make HD versions of the videos you all hate so much

E+J's recent trip to Maine

We returned home from Maine last Friday. We spent 3 days in the Augusta area (Cobbie Special Olympics Tx, 85 boats, we believe we came in about 20th, 1/3 of the boats did not weigh in any fish, not a great fishing day for most), and 3 more days in the Skowhegan area. The fishing overall was not that good for us, nor was the weather. A few of the days were brutal between the wind and the rain. We did manage 96 bass with the biggest going 4.5 LM. Biggest small mouth 3.8. We were fishing one of the days, when Everett noticed something splashing on the shore. Upon closer examination, we observed a bass in distress that was struggling to dislodge a white perch that he tried to eat. We took the small white perch out and it swam away, and worked with the bass for a few min. and it swam off great. Oh, the bass was 4-14 with the perch. Made us both feel good seeing the fish swim off, knowing the fish would not have survived. We have only a couple pictures as most of the time it was raining too hard to even take the camera out. The last picture is harvesting herring for bait for lobster traps with special permit.
